CONCRETE FLOORS

SPECIAL EPOXY

We do acid stained floors but sometimes the concrete is not a good candidate for acid stain because of age, patches or contaminates. This is a picture of a floor we did for Media Corp. in Toronto, using metallic epoxy. The technique used helped to give a acid stain quality. Metallics come in a wide variety of colours and blends. Metallics can also be used in polyurea. These surfaces get used in play rooms, garages, commercial areas and any other floor that needs a showroom look with high resistance to wear. PVC and Mica chip floors are also available.

RESIDENTIAL + COMMERCIAL

We are showing you commercial floors on this page because its often easier to take pictures in a larger setting. Truth is, retail floors take  much more abuse than residential floors so if it works here it will work at home. This is Trailhead in Kingston, done summer of 2011. Remember when you look at a floor to check durability because colour and application can be done to suit your project. Colour and technique can change but durability should be a constant.

POLISHED + SEALED CONCRETE
Polished concrete floors are not always the answer. Although this floor looks like polished concrete to most people, it is actually epoxy with a urethane topcoat. Pros and cons to both types of surface and it greatly  depends on how the floor will be used and maintained. We do both polishing and sealing.
